PHOENIX -- They're man's best friend, and they're also best friends!

Meet Penny and Sam, up for adoption at the Arizona Animal Welfare League. And the pups are a package deal!

"They are what we call a bonded pair at the shelter," says Emilie Sinur from the Arizona Animal Welfare League."They came to use at AAWL because their owner passed away. And we offer a service to the public that we call our owner surrenders. So if people get themselves into a situation, or an owner passes, we want them to contact us, and we'll see if we can help place their dogs up for adoption."

Penny and Sam are mellow, housebroken, middle-aged dogs, and they would ideally be adopted together.

The adoption fee is just $150 for the pair.

For information on adopting this doggie duo, or giving another animal its forever home, visit the AAWL shelter on 40th Street and Washington, or visit aawl.org.
