Please Note: We are a limited intake shelter, which means we may not have the space or resources to intake every request we receive. Once you complete your application below, if we feel we have the space and resources to adequately care for your pet(s), we will reach out to schedule a date and time for an intake appointment. It may take up to 1 week to hear back from us. If you do not hear back from us, we have determined we do not have the space or adequate resources to provide for your pet(s).
- There is a $50 surrender fee for any pet we take in. This fee can be waived in certain circumstance if the surrendering party can show financial hardship.
- We do not accept all pets. You must go through the following process and your pet must qualify.
- If we evaluate your pet, it does not guarantee we are able to accept it at this time. If your animal is accepted, there may be a delay in intake due to limited space.
- ALL animals must be owned by the surrendering party.

IMPORTANT: The Owner Surrender Program is for animals NOT adopted through AAWL. Animals adopted through AAWL can be returned at any time during the lifetime of the animal.
