The Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA offers classes and workshops taught by accredited pet training instructors. Our expert instructors will help you develop a strong bond with your pet so they can be a well behaved, enjoyable member of your family. We are proud to offer support to our adopters and other members of the community with the hopes of keeping pets safe, happy and healthy in their homes.
AAWL & SPCA promotes positive, reward-based training that enhances the bond between you and your pet. We will provide you with the tools to build a more joyful and satisfying relationship with your dog. This clear emphasis on positive reinforcement gives dogs the freedom and confidence to think, learn, and experiment throughout the training process. The dog's natural capabilities are encouraged and rewarded rather than being suppressed through the threat of severe punishment or harsh corrections. From your dog's perspective they can solely concentrate on the challenge of learning and trying new things rather than worrying about the consequences of doing something wrong.
Our goal is to provide a place where dogs and their people may play, train and interact in a clean, safe, and pleasant environment while developing a positive, closer, more bonded relationship.
*Please Note: There is a "zero tolerance" policy for aggressive dogs in sport and trick classes. All dogs are required to be current on vaccinations. Proof of vaccination must be shown.
