Public Affairs Maanger, Waymo
Amanda Ventura has been connected to AAWL since her time as a student at Arizona State University, where she began as an occasional volunteer. After graduating, she adopted her first dog, Lt. Barclay, from AAWL, deepening her bond with the organization. While working at Evolve PR and Marketing, Amanda led AAWL’s public relations efforts, gaining valuable insight into its mission and operations—and adopted a second dog, Dabo. Now at Waymo, she remains an active advocate for the shelter as a member of The League since 2021. Amanda has contributed through event volunteering, committee work, and both in-kind and monetary fundraising. With extensive experience in media, community outreach, and storytelling, Amanda brings a unique perspective to AAWL’s evolving goals. She is passionate about using her skills to further the organization's mission and is honored by the opportunity to serve in a leadership capacity.
