Part time to start (25 - 29 hours/week) possibility for full time.

Responsibilities

Transport dogs, cats and supplies/paperwork to and from remote adoption centers, clean vehicles and kennels post-transport. Be flexible to changing situations, every day is different. Learn off-site file prep, offsite adoptions processing, assisting with loading pet photos to our software system. Potential for data entry training. This is a hands-on animal handling position, working with both dogs and cats. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs, and perform duties that require lifting, bending, stopping throughout a 5 – 6 hour shift. Work outside in any type of weather. Requires attention to detail, good decision-making skills, the ability to work independently and have good communication skills with volunteers, staff, adoption center partners and the general public.

Qualifications

While animal handling experience is preferred, we will train in-house. Driver’s license , clean driving record and over 21, insurance requirement for driving an AAWL vehicle, is required. You will be driving a variety of vehicles including custom built kennel trucks.
