The League Chair
Leslie Wasem is a graduate of Arizona State University with degrees in Nonprofit Leadership and Management, and Family and Human Development. Leslie is a Development Officer for Arizona State University who believes that fundraising is a way to create community and give donors an opportunity to connect to something they believe in.
Ms. Wasem’s connection to AAWL began when AAWL was able to assist her in finding forever homes for one cat and two kittens who were living outside of her apartment. Her love for AAWL only grew as she saw the impact AAWL has on the greater Arizona community and their true compassion for animals. Leslie and her boyfriend, Davin, adopted their two hound mixes, Chase and Chelsea, from AAWL in 2017. Leslie has served as the Board Chair of The League since December of 2017 and looks forward to another successful year!
