Wallen is a 10-month-old Cattle Dog mix who has been waiting far too long for his fresh start. He's been at the shelter since May, and while he's doing his best, shelter life has been especially tough on this young, active boy. Like most puppies his age, Wallen is full of energy and would much rather be running, playing, exploring, and learning than spending his days in a kennel.

As a typical young cattle dog mix, Wallen is still learning his manners. He's a mouthy puppy who needs someone willing to teach him appropriate play! With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, this smart boy has so much potential!

Wallen has mixed feelings about other dogs, so if there's dogs in the home, a meet-and-greet will be required to make sure everyone is a good match. He's recommended for homes with middle school-aged children and older due to his energetic, puppy-like play style.

More than anything, Wallen just needs a chance. He deserves a home where he can stretch his legs, decompress from the stress of shelter life, and finally enjoy being the carefree puppy he's meant to be.
