Teagan is an 11-year-old Basenji mix who has spent her entire life in a home. After losing that comfort and ending up in the shelter, she’s been having a really hard time adjusting. The shelter environment has been incredibly stressful for her and she has been struggling with her appetite which has resulted in her losing weight.
This senior girl already knows how to be a wonderful house guest because she’s lived in a home her whole life. She’s calm, gentle, and incredibly sweet. Teagan enjoys a peaceful environment and would love a cozy spot to nap, kind people to keep her company, and a soft place to land while she waits for her forever family.
Teagan has mixed feelings about other dogs and tends to do better with male dogs than female dogs. We believe she would do well with respectful children elementary school age and older.
Senior dogs often struggle the most in shelters, and she deserves to spend this chapter of her life surrounded by comfort and love! Please reach out if you are able to give this sweet girl a break!
