Carl is a 10 month old German Shepherd mix who desperately needs a break from all the shelter hubbub. This young boy was recently returned after being adopted for 8 months, which means he has experience living in a home. Since arriving, he has not been able to settle and has shown severe signs of FAS (fear, anxiety, stress). We would love to get Carl out of the shelter environment and into a home where he can decompress!
He can be a little shy around men at first, but with patience and kindness he warms up! Don't let his age fool you, since he's lived in a home a majority of his life, he's already potty trained and knows how to be a respectful house guest! We currently have Carl listed as best suited for a home with middle school–aged kids or older. He has mixed feelings about other dogs, so he would need to meet any resident dog before heading into a foster home.
