The Arizona Animal Welfare League and Turnout Beverage to Host Sixth Annual AleWagger Fundraiser
Limited-Edition Beer to Debut at Annual Celebration in Gilbert on Sept. 26
PHOENIX – The Arizona Animal Welfare League, the state’s oldest and largest no-kill shelter, is once again partnering with Turnout Beverage to launch its annual limited-edition AleWagger beer, with proceeds benefiting AAWL’s lifesaving programs.
“Every pint of AleWagger purchased and every person who comes out to celebrate makes a difference for animals in our community,” said Alessandra Navidad, CEO of AAWL. “Our AleWagger launch has become one of our favorite traditions. The funds raised help us find loving homes for animals through adoption and also provide low-cost resources that help keep pets with the families who love them, reducing the number of animals entering shelters in the first place.”
To celebrate this year’s AleWagger release, AAWL and Turnout Beverage will host a launch party on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Gilbert House. Beer lovers and animal lovers alike are encouraged to bring their dogs, enjoy the limited-edition beer can design, explore The Gilbert House’s menu and cuddle with adorable puppies.
For the first time, AAWL gave Arizonans the opportunity to enter a raffle for the chance to have their pet featured on this year’s AleWagger beer cans. The winning pets will make their official debut during the launch celebration.
All proceeds from keg sales and a portion of each six-pack sold will go directly toward AAWL’s life-saving programs like pet adoptions, low-cost preventative wellness services at its on-site and mobile vet clinics, rural rescue efforts, and more.
This year’s AleWagger is a refreshing Pale Ale, brewed just for the occasion. Quantities of the limited-edition six-packs will be available while supplies last.
