Taking a leadership role in promoting humane values is a critical part of the Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA's mission. Since 2002, Humane Education has been an organized, primary program of the Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA. AAWL & SPCA provides educational tours, camps, workshops and presentations for metro Phoenix area youth each year, and the demand and need for humane education continues to increase.
The Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA's Education program reaches approximately 3,000 students each year with an interactive and effective program that teaches children respect for all animals, safety around animals and responsible animal care while encouraging children, who have a natural connection with animals, to get involved in promoting kindness to animals.
School Holiday and Summer Camps – Our animal themed Day Camps offer fun, quality educational experiences along with superior safety standards and low counselor-to-camper ratios. Our Day Camps promise a ton of fun for campers of all ages. Caring, well-trained counselors help ensure an animal filled, action-packed week of laughing and learning for all.
