Education Programs

So, you want to be a vet? This veterinary career exploration program is a hands-on, fun, and interactive experience for your teen.

No school? No Problem! AAWL’s award winning camps throughout the year provide an amazing outlet for your children to grow and learn, while having fun during their school break. 

Become part of a group of teens who share a common interest and passion for animals and helping their community! Offered during fall and spring semesters, students learn leadership skills, public speaking, community service, animal care, and more over the course of 12 weeks.

The Arizona Animal Welfare League Introduces a new anti-bullying program for children, with the help of a furry friend.

Service hours are fun when volunteering with animals! Participate in the day-to-day volunteer activities of the shelter by signing up for one of our Jr. Volunteer Days or Family Volunteer Days!

Calling all party animals - Gather your friends and have an unforgettable, animal filled birthday that is sure to be one-of-a-kind and full of fun!

Choose what activities fit your group’s needs the best—all while helping care for our animals! Activities include behind-the-scenes tours, reading to dogs, interactions with dogs or cats, or our exotic animals, keeper care, and more!

Help our shelter dogs’ tails wag by reading to them! Reading to dogs builds confidence in young readers, helps our animals build bonds with people, and it’s fun!
