SPCA Services

Thanks to the efforts of the Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA's board, staff, volunteers, donors and supporters, AAWL & SPCA is one of the most unique and special organizations in the Phoenix area. AAWL & SPCA is a comprehensive animal welfare organization and we provide many unique and amazing services.

Did You Know That...

• We saved over 3000 dogs and cats in 2010.
• We offer low-cost vaccine/microchip services to the public.
• We have partnerships with other animal welfare groups to provide low-cost spay/neuter to their animals.
• We get the majority of our cats and dogs from the euthanasia lists of Valley open-intake shelters.
• We offer a variety of educational training classes to adults and children on anything from how to prepare your pet for baby to proper animal handling classes for kids.
• We offer birthday party packages for kids ages 5-12.
• We offer dog obedience and agility classes to the public.
• We have a FREE behavior help line.
• We donate any pet food/supplies that we do not use to smaller animal rescue organizations.
• Our animals are fully loaded - spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, behaviorally and medically evaluated, flea/tick preventative and 30-days free pet health insurance.
• We offer extensive animal handling training to our volunteers.
• All of our dogs get walked 2-3 times a day + potty breaks.
• Our cattery is an open, "free-roaming" cattery with outdoor enclosures for cats to enjoy.
• We have an infirmary to house our sick animals while they recover.
• We have a comprehensive foster program which sees over 1,200 of our animals a year.
• We have an on-site Veterinary Clinic with full time staffing.
• We offer seminars on how to prepare for the future welfare of your pets after you're gone.
• We have a program you can join where AAWL & SPCA will care for your pets if you pass away.
